There's a tiny swamp near where I live. Yesterday I discovered that small enough frogs can hop off water itself via surface tension. The frogs in question were roughly half an inch long.

I also discovered about a month ago, in the same location, that frogsong maintains consistent timing. The song I listened two had 3/3 timing. Most of the frogs croaked twice, then paused, then repeated; however, a few very loud (soloist?) frogs had notes spanning all three beats.
