Netflix censo...uh... editing

Just saw the first two episodes of HBO's Looking, premiered at the Castro Tuesday. Tried to explain afterwards to several people I knew how much better Queer as Folk was and why. Impossible. So I searched the web and found some good samples on YouTube -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9AL3XLY2kv0 -- for one, then asked (online) if Netflex edited it (after discovering that if you used the "C" word, you got no responses). Thanks for being one of the places that discovered Netflix does do the dirty. Isn't it nice to be treated like a five year old?
Oh, and the Brits know the difference between melodramatic sagas (Downton Abbey, Coronation Street) they can run for generations, and complex, layered drama like Sherlock that promote discussion rather than rehashing, rewatching, treasuring. Sort of like a novel that is a whole, that ends, and is no more because there's nothing more to be said. ... until some producer decides there's money in stretttchhhing it out.
