My next door neighbors used to go all out with the walmart inflatable giant halloween (and christmas) stuff, and then for a couple of years did nothing, but this year they did something fun: made two life-sized witch mannequins, one on the lawn and one on the porch, and then one of the neighbors dressed up as a matching witch and stood very still on the porch. Man, that got a couple of shrieks.
