That's an interesting point. Aluminum cans are coated on the inside to keep the aluminum from leaching into the drinks (which I only learned recently). So presumably, the foil in those cartons are coated too, especially for tomatoes which are acidic. Based on this page though, the foil in the cartons is coated with polyethelene, and doesn't have BPA:
