darkoshi | fawn startlement

I almost forgot, as I didn't write it down yet. One day last week or the week before, as I was walking out for my lunch break at work, I startled a fawn (and it startled me). It jumped out from the trees to my left and ran very fast away from me, so fast I wondered if it might be a very small adult deer. But it looked like a fawn. It ran straight into the fence that separates the campus from the interstate and bounced back from the impact. Then it ran off along the inside of the fence.

I hadn't thought about it before, but maybe the main reason for that fence is to keep wildlife from running out into the street.
