I hate it when pine needles fall like rain. Soooo much cleanup to do on the porches and outdoor plants...

(Have I ever told you how bad it is when there's a major storm? I literally go out on the back porch with a rake, make piles then scoop them up in my arms to toss over the side. Usually takes about 10-20 minutes to get through, and it's a small porch, maybe 8' x 8'. Just unreal.)

I suppose pine needles are like rain, and pine cones are like hail.

And the heavy green pine cones? Are like rocks. Those things can actually hurt you (and now I feel like we've had this conversation before! Weird).

Falling trees are awful, especially when they hit your house. Even in non-storm years we have at least 2-3 come down around here (usually not nearby) and when I hear them they always give me that bad feeling, but that's from having them fall on our actual place and destroy our roof, I guess.

This sounds really lovely actually, we've had too many months of fire troubles and heat here.
