I personally wouldn't touch LJ with a 10 foot pole - not to read or write. If someone's only good web presence is on LJ and they come highly recommended (or in the case of Elon Musk's ex-wife Justine, who I've written about before, are just an interesting read for Reasons) I'll go look but then that's it, I'm out.
