It has had so many figs this year (the first time it has been so abundant) that I've left many on the tree for them to get.

I ate a fig off a tree once. It was good. ^_^

Even if the tree didn't grow any figs, I still like the way the leaves look and how they smell in the sunshine.

Looking up about fig leaf scent, I have discovered that some people liken it to the smell of cat pee! But that comes mostly from people with indoor trees. So maybe in high concentrations, the otherwise nice scent becomes overpoweringly bad. And I discovered that fig tree absolute isn't allowed in perfumery due to the phototoxicity of some of its compounds.
