Guardians of the Galaxy

We went to see the Guardians of the Galaxy V3 movie. It was so good. Very heart-tugging emotions. I got teary eyed from the movie at least 3 times, which made it harder to breathe behind the N95 mask I was wearing. But I managed.

I saw that movie last week. It was good but the herd of five-year-old orphans was annoying. I think it's Disney pouring its special sauce into the plot. There was the same squeaky clean 'adorable' orphan jockeys on planet casino in Star Wars VIII, the one with the slowest space chase ever and where pouty space brat flies off to Planet Casino for some reason. GotG 3 had too many dewy-eyed raccoon kits too. Drak does pass as 'dad' material, but I fear for the survival of the orphan herd.

I missed that too although that's not too surprising. People all look the same, the one talking raccoon and walking tree is easier to track. Speaking of people, was that Red Skull under the stretched skin? Last we saw him, he was stuck watching over one of the chaos crystals, but I guess that gig ended after Thanos snatched it. But that doesn't fit with the creation of the gold-plated people and Rocket Raccoon, so I guess not.

The animals on the desert planet were the one ugly stupid animals that nobody likes. Fair game.

I did find the plot very silly, particularly months-old Rocket having a PhD-level understanding of biochemistry for story reasons. And I felt the camera was way too active during the close-quarters action sequences. But the humor and emotional beats were spot-on.

However, they killed the otter. Unforgivable!
