Saturday, April 21st, 2007 01:22 pmI had decided on a particular brand and model of vacuum cleaner to buy, but then when I was at the store about to buy it, I noticed a different one which is smaller and lighter and easier to manoeuver. So I decided to delay the purchase in order to look up some reviews on the latter. I only found one review on an older model it of which said it was a POS and had cheap crappy plastic parts which broke.
But most non-expensive vacuums are made of cheap plastic parts these days, so that doesn't mean the one would necessarily be much worse than the other.
And what's the point of getting a big heavy thing that will be difficult to use and move around, just because supposedly it got good reviews.
It would be quite difficult to carry the heavier one while climbing the wooden ladder to the attic to clear out some of the dust up there.
Hrmmm.
I did at least buy a toaster so far.
I even bought a microwave but it turned out to be defective, and so I had to return it.
I'm getting ready to do some painting, but I am nervous about it since I am not experienced in that. Deciding for sure on what colors I want, getting the right kind of paint and primers... and there will be some wallpaper to remove too. It seems a very big task to tackle. I should be able to do it a small part at a time. But there's so much to do I'm not sure where to start.
