I used to like couscous, but lately whenever I've made it, it has seemed dry and bland.
Today I dissolved a vegetable bouillon cube in with the water, and also stirred in a small can of diced fire-roasted tomatoes.
It turned out pretty good, though I still wouldn't rave about it. The last bit of it on my plate, which had soaked up some oil&vinegar salad dressing from my salad, was tastier. So maybe stirring in some vinegar to begin with would make it zestier. Couscous would probably also be a good alternative to bulghur wheat when making tabouli.
