Considering that LiveJournal is owned by a Russian company, do you think that Russian authorities have access to everyone's protected and private posts, including ones cross-posted from DreamWidth? They probably do, one way or another.
In terms of the U.S. government, I was reading about warrant canaries lately, though it sounds like their use is already on the decline. It doesn't look like DreamWidth has one.
