The Adriano Celentano video has been one of my favourite things to send to people, re: English sounds :)

There was a video going around about a year ago, featuring a woman who spoke gibberish in various languages, so you could hear what the tonal quality and vowel/consonant relationships were like. She did like fifteen languages, and it was thoroughly interesting, although it was hard for me to tell the difference between a lot of them.

Sigur Ros does a lot of stuff in Hopelandic, that sounds like Icelandic but isn't.
