Christmas tree is up.
Note to self: The tinsel goes on last, not first. First lights, garlands, ornaments, then the tinsel.
Putting up the tree and decorations is like an art project, but the same one again, year after year. With only minor differences, like using gold garland as opposed to silver.
But it's ok, sort of, because doing it the same way continues a tradition. The Christmas Tradition. And if I've decided that the tree looks much better with tinsel, of course I'm going to use the tinsel again each next year, even if it takes a lot of extra time.
You know, a glittery pink garland might look nice next time.
