Today when I looked out the window, I was worried as I saw the 2 adults but no little one. But when I went outside closer to the fence, I saw that it was still with them. ::relief:: When the little one is sitting down, it's very hard to see unless you know where to look, just a slightly more yellow spot.
There's also a larger group of adults with no little ones out there by the "lake" (it's more of a stream right now due to the sinkhole/dam problem). When they get too close, the other 2 adults chase them off, which is the same behavior as the geese near my work when they have young ones.
I'm surprised though, how far away from the little one the 2 adults wander. At work, the little ones I see are usually right there by the parents, always staying close. Maybe this little one is still exhausted from yesterday... or maybe it (or the parents) doesn't pay good attention to begin with, which might be how it got separated in the first place.
