Oh yes, I've heard that aluminum wiring can have problems. Ours is copper, thankfully. The GFCI problem is intermittent now, so it may be related to the weather or humidity level. The circuit includes two outdoor lamp fixtures (but NOT the porch lamp that I replaced). At first I thought we'd better call an electrician in right away. But if it hasn't caused any other problems for this long...
The rash *might* be from this new soap I've been using which includes black pepper, but it's odd that only a small area on both arms was affected. It hasn't gotten worse from continued use of the soap. I haven't gotten any other unusual chemicals on my arms.
