I finally got thru the backlog of unread work emails today, from my week of vacation. What a relief.
I saw a regular-looking license plate today, "FAQ 911".
.
On the flight back, Air France provided me with some good vegetarian in-flight meals. But the Paris airport was sadly lacking in vegan fare. The likeliest candidate I saw was "fresh fruit" which turned out to be a basket of apples.
The Paris airport transportation system left somewhat to be desired, as well. To get to the other terminal, we had to take a bus, which required standing in a long line, getting our passports checked (why bother doing this, if we're not even exiting the airport but rather just being taken to another gate to catch our connecting flight?) and/or stamped (they stamped Qiao's but not mine; I wonder why?).
The airport bus had 3 stops - the 2nd stop was labeled something like "Terminal 2e - gates 30 thru 99" and the 3rd stop was labeled something like "Terminal 2e - gates 1 thru 99".
Our gate was like 29, and we were in a hurry. This made me wonder, well, can we get out at the 2nd stop, as that is just one gate away from ours? Or do they mean you can't get to gate 29 from the 2nd stop? To be safe, we got out at the 3rd stop, but it seemed needlessly confusing.
