Saturday, May 21st, 2005 10:18 amSo now the Star Wars movie saga is over. (Since from all reports, Lucas has no intention of filming epidodes 7-9, nor would I want him to). I don't have any detailed comments about the movie which I really feel like sharing... It wasn't better than I expected, although special-effects wise, it was probably stunning (most of it was so fast-paced, one couldn't really appreciate it)... nor can I say it was worse than I expected... largely due to my not having had high expectations for the story itself, based on the last ones. And perhaps what it all comes down to, is that I got not a single shivery tingly feeling while watching the movie... perhaps because there was nothing truly surprising nor awe-inspiring in it, for me.
And then I came home to Forestfen doing one of her distraught "Thank goodness you're home. I was so worried about you. I've got a stomach-ache from it. Why didn't you at least check your messages..." She thought I had said the movie was starting at 7, and that I therefore should have been home much earlier, when I most certainly did NOT tell her what time the movie was starting. It's so annoying to come home in a reasonably good mood, and to be faced with someone giving off negative vibes and making it seem like it's your fault. I'm an adult. I should be able to go out places without leaving her with a detailed itinerary of my plans! Grumble.
