(no subject)
Wednesday, September 14th, 2005 02:51 pmThis device complies with part 15 of FCC rules. Operation subject to the following two conditions:
1)This device may not cause harmful interference, and
2)This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
You know how it says the above on radios and TV's sold in the U.S.... what does that 2nd part really mean? It always makes me wonder if it means that if the government decides to jam the airwaves, that the device isn't allowed to filter out the jamming. But I find that hard to believe, since surely devices are allowed to be designed to filter out or block undesired interference, when possible. And what would it mean, for a device not to accept interference? What's a radio or TV going to do - stand up and walk over to the source of interference and turn it off??
