considering what i learned from moominpuppet's post a while back about how difficult it can be to get emergency contraceptive pills when you need them (a fact also spoken about on that page), the following links are useful to keep:
not-2-late.com - has a directory of providers for the ECP in the US.
and following are 2 internet sites where you can get the pill prescribed to you:
getthepill.com
themorningafterpill.net

- You have to answer all the questions in a particular correct way, apparently.
- You can't get a prescription for future emergencies; you have to state that you had unprotected sex or (suspected?) contraceptive failure within the last 72 hours.
- It asks if your last period was 4 or less weeks ago.
- It asks if you are 35 years or older... One of the previous pages says "You must... be between the ages of 18 and 40"... maybe if you're older than 35, they use that to ask you other questions???
- It asks if you are a smoker.
- You have to find a local pharmacy which stocks the EC on your own, and enter the pharmacy's details on the form.
- It says "Prescription requests are typically completed within 2-8 hours, 7 days a week. While prescription requests may be submitted 24 hours/day, prescriptions will ONLY be submitted to your local pharmacy between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. EST Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. EST Saturday and Sunday"

At the not-2-late.com site, when searching for EC providers in Columbia, SC, the only result is Planned Parenthood. Does this mean no pharmacies provide it, or just that you would have to contact Planned Parenthood, in order to get a prescription, and then they would tell you which pharmacy you could go to???
