I saw a sign downtown yesterday (Friday), "Vista Lights - Coming Soon!", and got to thinking that I might attend it this year. It's a one-day evening event where the nice little stores in the Vista stay open late, with holiday decorations and music and such. But I looked it up today only to discover that it was on Thursday.

Apparently (I haven't really been following the news) the governor had "Occupy" demonstrators at the SC state house arrested on Wednesday. Based on that article, they are still allowed to protest during daylight hours, but to not stay on the grounds overnight. I saw some people with signs on Friday as we were driving past.

alcippe, I discovered the name of a disco group ("Boney M") who was behind several famous songs of my youth ("Rivers of Babylon", "Daddy Cool", "Nightflight to Venus", the holiday one linked above, etc.).
