cold medication

It seems there isn't any marketed drug that specifically relieves a runny nose due to a cold, without potentially making one drowsy. Or is there?

Even more preferable, I'd like one that works for runny noses due to both colds and allergies, in case one isn't sure what the runny nose is due to. The one that I tried in the past against allergies didn't work for a cold.

We have Lemsip Max, which contains paracetomol, caffeine and pseudoephedrine.

I believe the last of these is illegal in the USA, because of the insanity of its lawmakers.

Pseudoephedrine is not actually illegal here (unless you have a large amount of it), but it is controlled. I wrote about the last time I bought some 3 years ago. Apparently the store is supposed to look at your ID, and keep track of who buys it and how much... I think they did that for me, but I don't remember the details.

But the label on my box of pseudoephedrine says that it's a decongestant, not an antihistamine.

Strange... This item says it's for a blocked or runny nose, but it only includes Ibuprofen and Pseudoephedrine.
This other item which also has pseudoephedrine only mentions the blocked nose part.
Yet I found no indication of Ibuprofen being an antihistamine in addition to a pain reliever.

Paracetomol... is what we call tylenol over here. Against pain and fever.
Caffeine... I've seen that in some medications over here, but not sure as to the purpose, unless it is supposed to counteract against drowsiness.
