I've never been a fan of cream cheese, but when it is mixed with sugar, such as in a cream cheese pie or in this frosting I made with vegan cream cheese, it is so good... I could eat the whole batch up just as is. Sort of like the difference between plain yogurt and yogurt with sugar mixed in.
