Counting Numbers in Korean - there are 2 different sets of number words, used for counting different things. That explains why the numbers we learned in TaeKwonDo class don't always match the Korean numbers I hear in other contexts.

I think this is fairly common. Japanese has a (native, less used) counting system and a Chinese-derived counting system with totally different words for each, and different but related words for counting items of different types.
We do, too: one two three, first second third, primary secondary tertiary, for instance.
