2003 Networking Conference

I came across this old ad for a Cisco Systems user conference amongst Qiao's things and thought it amusing. (Cisco makes networking equipment.)

I attend 3 keynotes.
I sit through 12 breakout sessions.

(And I still can't figure out the digital alarm.)

I went to a UX training event a few years after that where the hotel room radio/alarm clock came with 14-step instructions for setting the alarm.

LOL!

At home I have a two-stage alarm system. First my digital watch which sometimes doesn't wake me. It repeats after 5 minutes. Then 2 minutes after that, the clock radio which always does wake me.

Recently when I didn't hear my watch a few days in a row, I checked it more closely. I saw an extra thing in the display and had to dig out my watch instructions to figure out that I'd somehow accidentally set it to only go off in the month of December.
