Food Lion sells a store-brand of butterscotch chips, which based on the ingredient list appears to be vegan. I was pleasantly surprised by that, as non-chocolate-flavor chips usually have milk in them. It includes "natural flavors", whose origins one can never be certain of, but the allergy info only mentions soy, not milk. I'm going to make a chocolate chip cookie pie, and use half butterscotch chips and half chocolate.
