Wednesday, January 19th, 2005 09:09 pmwell, i've got a beard. stringy, sparse and nicely located just on the tip of my chin. it makes me feel somewhat genderfuckish. so, maybe ppl don't tend to think anything odd if females happen to wear "men's" shirts or pants, because who can really say that a particular item of clothing is only for males? but a beard on a female, now, that's unusual. maybe it'll make some ppl stop and think, or wonder. and maybe some of those ppl will think something other than just "Oh, how disgusting, that lady has a beard."
in a way, it's odd. all a female has to do to have a beard, is not to pluck those hairs out. at least, those females who tend to grow dark hairs on their chin, which doesn't seem to be such a minority of females either. considering that, i'd think one would see more females with chin-hair. maybe i just haven't been looking.
but i don't know. i suppose i'll pluck it out sooner or later. otherwise it'll keep growing longer, and how long would i want it?
and it's sort of amusing too. the only person who's mentioned anything about it to me is my mom. no one else has said anything. they probably wouldn't be able to think of anything suitably polite to say... "say, that's a nice beard you've got there!"
but i am a bit concerned that when i see wonderful-dom-dude, that he might decide to pluck it out himself, or pull on it, or tell me to cut it off... when i wrote my list of limits, i included no shaving or plucking of my arms, armpits, legs, or eyebrows, but i didn't say anything about my chin. *giggle*
