Reading the personal ads in a local paper for amusement.
Points of interest

- The people looking for kinky things are posting in the regular sections, while the "Alternative" section contains mostly couples looking for an additional person to play with, or vice versa.

- Several ads are in seek of a "TS". Most of these are in the "Male seeking Male" section, and one is in the "Alternative" section. From the wordings, apparently, "TS" is only being used in terms of a MTF transsexual person, not FTM. How many MTF people would be browsing the "Male seeking Male" sections, though? Maybe these people are really looking for cross-dressers, not transsexuals?

- Every single add which mentions "TS" includes the adjective "hot"... apparently people aren't interested in just any MTF, but only the "hot" ones, whatever that means. There is even one ad, "Hot, sexy TS ISO straight, bi-curious male...".

- a couple of ads say "Married a plus". WTF? People get off an having a relationship with an infidelitous person? Or they want to bring the spouse in on the action too? Or they think a married person is more trustworthy, or more black-mailable, or more discreet, or less likely to have the time to have bunches of one-night stands with other people?

I had a sore throat for most of the night, but I took medicine and slept well. I'm feeling much better today.

Today is one of those days where I start reading something, in order to find out an answer to some question I had, and I keep reading and reading... finding more and more things I want to look up the details about, and where everything I read seems so fascinating.

For some reason, I was reading about Watergate... oh, I still have the original web-page open. It turns out, I was reading my weekly AWADmail email, which had a link to a page, "The Web of Language", (that was the first of 3 links - I never made it past the first one, LOL). That page had a photo of an old newspaper article titled "Mr. Nixon's Persistent Problem With the Plumbers", which resulted in me googling "Nixon plumbers", which led me to Watergate. After reading the Wikipedia pages about Watergate, I started reading about who was president and vice-president during which years, as my knowledge about those years was vague.

So...
- JFK (Dem) took office in 1961 and was assassinated near the end of his term (Nov 1963).
- Lyndon Johnson (Dem), JFK's VP, continued that term and was elected President for the next term (till 1969).
- Nixon (Republican) was elected and took office in 1969, and was re-elected for a 2nd term. But because of Watergate, he resigned in Aug 1974, at which time his VP Gerald Ford took over. (Nixon's original VP was Spiro Agnew, but he resigned before Nixon due to criminal charges.)
- Ford was in office until the end of that term (Aug 1974 - Jan 1977).
- Carter took office in Jan 1977.

Oh, and Nelson Rockefeller was assigned to be Gerald Ford's VP. Apparently, he was a Republican, but a liberal one (who knew that there ever was such as thing as a liberal Republican?), and he donated his VP salary to good causes. He died at the age of 70 from a heart attack, but under curious circumstances, and the Wikipedia article alludes to the possibility to him having had an affair with his 26 year old aide.

My feeling sick physically seems to correlate to my feeling down emotionally. While I was feeling better physically today, I also felt better emotionally, and I had energy to do things. Now my nose is getting runny and congested again, and I feel like not moving, and like things are gloomy.

Thought from yesterday:
Maybe in fear of telling lies, I never tell the truth.

Bro and Pard brought me some boxes of vegan Kartoffel-Knoedel (potato dumplings) from Germany. They knew I like them, and they are difficult to find over here. I'd like to have some with my dinner now, and they only need to be put in water and boiled and then left for 15 minutes, but it seems too much effort right now. I made some butternut squash before my sudden drop in energy, so I have that, but it doesn't seem appetizing. Mmmm potato dumplings. Maybe I will make them. Yes.
