Why is it that occasionally when I send emails, random characters are sporadically inserted or deleted? This happens with Yahoo web-mail, other webmails I've used, and Thunderbird. The email will look okay before I send it, but when I check it in the sent-mail folder, I discover apparent typos. Before, I thought I must just overlook these things before sending the emails. But today, I had copied the text of the email into a temporary file before sending it, and that file does not have the extra character which is in the sent-mail version!
Thunderbird tends to insert '>' characters. Excite.com's webmail tended to delete spaces between words. Yahoo's webmail... well, I don't remember anything specific. Am I just crazy? Do I just overlook my own typos?
Apparently I'm not the only person this happens to, though. Someone else had an embarrassing "typo" in a post they sent to a group; a typo they denied making and which they even said did *not* appear in their sent-mail version.
