This is the skull that we found on the porch. This part of it is slightly smaller than tennis-ball sized. Do any of you know what kind of animal this was from?



I saw a cat in the front yard this evening, which may lend credence to the cat-leaving-it-there theory.

That's not a lot of skull to extrapolate from, but there aren't many animals out there with tennis ball sized skulls. Deer would be close but this doesn't have the protuberances associated with antlers, nor enough nasal structure. Coyotes would be my second guess, but again they need a lot more nasal structure.
