Normally I like the taste. Once I finally realized it was saffron on the carrots (on the last 2 slivers after finally noticing the tiny red saffron strings), it was fine there too. My problem was simply "these look like plain julienned carrots with a few grill marks on them, why do they not taste like normal plain carrots.. there must be something wrong..."
So yeah, I must not eat it often enough to immediately recognize the flavor.
