It feels sort of disrespectful to mention this... or even to have thought it, but when I heard the news of James Brown's death, one of my first thoughts was of that song, "James Brown is Dead". The title/lyrics of the song always made me feel a tad uncomfortable (singing about someone's death, when that person was still alive!), but it was a wonderful dancy tune, otherwise.

I thought the EXACT SAME THING. We used to blast that song at the house parties my friends and I threw in college. And I felt the same way about it, singing about a man being dead before he was dead... it felt a little wrong.
