Sudden thought, based on a comment left on one of my dysthymia videos.

Does feeling a purpose in life make you feel a zest for living...
or does feeling a zest for living allow your mind to conjure up a "purpose"?

Classic chicken and the egg scenario. I ask those sorts of questions all the time regarding motivation and meaning and all that stuff. But that's obvious from reading my entries. In any case, I think they need to come together, whichever way they do. How can you think something's important without having feelings toward it, and how can you have strong feelings without importance? Or something.
