Normal is what is. I think everyone has periods, even long periods, where sleep is elusive. I usually have rampant insomnia in late July and August. And for the longest time, I couldn't sleep in a strange bed to save my life. Well, six damn months without my own bed cured that problem, but I'm not looking forward to August.

Are you sensitive/allergic to milk or chamomile? Chamomile tea is very mild and often helps. And of course, warm milk is the old remedy so long as milk is digestive friendly for you. I'd also recommend reading something boring. Getting your eyes tired can sometimes force the issue, even when your brain wants to go go go. That's what I used to do on business trips when I couldn't sleep. I'd still not get enough sleep, but I'd get some.

Good luck.
